We came up in the trenches of this industry. Building campaigns, shipping tools, putting stories into the world, and watching up close how the work actually gets made. The pattern barely shifted for years. Big budgets, heavy operations, six weeks of runway for an idea that often landed flat the day it went live.

Then AI arrived.

Not the polished version from keynote stages, but the messier real one, where the shelf life of a product or a campaign or a clever idea collapsed almost overnight. The era of building for the average customer quietly ended, and something new took its place: building for a specific person, at scale, in their language, on whatever surface they happen to be on.

Most of the industry is still pretending none of this is happening. The briefs look the same. The timelines look the same. Thirty-person teams keep charging thirty-person rates for work that a small AI-native studio could ship faster and sharper.

We started BW Labs because we could see both sides of this clearly. The risk is real. Any studio or brand that doesn't rewire for this new tempo gets left behind, and not on some distant horizon either. The opportunity is just as real.
